Fallen are the cherry blossoms

How dainty, how pink

Floating down so effortlessly

As in no fear has ever welcomed them

 

Foolish are the cherry blossoms

How innocent, how unmindful

Tumbling down with no care

Clueless of the hard ground awaits

 

Dreary are the cherry blossoms

How dejected, how void

Scattered like forlorn strangers

Never will find their way back
